Crown Iron Works enlisted the services of 45 North Group to help with the construction of their new corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility. Their goal was to create a showpiece for customers – a facility that demonstrates their extraction expertise and reflects their drive to continuously innovate. 45 North group managed the design process and construction activities for 62,000 square feet of office and warehouse, as well as a 5,000 square foot extraction lab. One of the more unique challenges on the project was the construction of a 100-foot tall refining tower located adjacent to the Anoka County Airport which required negotiations with the FAA. Having previously been in an outdated, older building and outgrowing the space, the new location has allowed them to expand their research and development capabilities, as well as enhance and refine their processes.
